Everything you need to know about Invisalign clear aligners

The process begins with a consultation with one of our experienced dentists. After determining if you are a candidate for Invisalign, Drs. Monica Anand and Anshuman Rawat will take impressions or 3D scans of your mouth. These will be used to create a digital image of your smile and then create a customized series of acrylic trays. Each tray is worn by the patient for approximately two weeks, gradually moving the teeth into their desired position. You will need to visit our dental office every six to eight weeks so we can monitor the progress and provide you with new trays if required.

Aside from being virtually invisible, Invisalign has many other benefits:

• Removable: Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign trays are removable for eating, brushing, and flossing. This allows for better dental hygiene and the absence of food limitations.
• The trays are comfortable. They are made from smooth plastic and do not have sharp metal appliances, such as wires or brackets, that can irritate the mouth.
• Efficient: Invisalign typically takes less time to straighten teeth than traditional braces, with most treatments lasting between 6 and 18 months.
• Predictable results: The digital technology used in creating Invisalign trays allows for precise and predictable tooth movement, resulting in more efficient treatment.

In general, most patients who have mild to moderate orthodontic issues, such as crooked, crowded, or spaced-out teeth, are good candidates for Invisalign.
